Since its founding in 1967, Mobile Auto Outfitters has gone by several names over the years, including Aiken Hitch & Outdoor and Aiken Brothers. Over the decades the company has offered a variety of services including trailer hitch installation, small engine repair, pressure washer repair, and golf cart modifications. One of the original Aiken Brothers also created the formula for Purple Power, the industrial-strength cleaner. While the services have evolved over time, one thing has always remained the same: a commitment to doing the right thing, the right way.

The team often jokes that they get tired of hearing Justin repeat his two favorite phrases, “people over profits” and “integrity is the secret to longevity.” But those ideas are the core principles Mobile Auto Outfitters operates on every day.

Justin joined Aiken Brothers in 2016, and in 2019 he took a leap of faith by using what had been saved as the down payment for his first home to buy the company from his former bosses. After taking over the business, Justin streamlined operations and discontinued small engine repair and other services in order to focus exclusively on trailer hitches and automotive accessories.

Justin’s dedication to learning the business and understanding his customers quickly turned into deep expertise in the field. To date, he has personally installed more than 10,000 trailer hitches along with countless running boards, roof rails, and other accessories.

Today Justin spends much of his time managing the business, developing partnerships, and guiding the company’s continued growth. While he still participates in installations when needed, most projects are now completed by the highly trained Mobile Auto Outfitters installation team that he personally hired and trained.

That same mindset—constantly looking for better ways to serve customers—led Justin to build Mobile Auto Outfitters around a simple idea: bring professional installation directly to the customer. By traveling to homes and workplaces, the company eliminates the inconvenience of traditional shop visits while maintaining the highest standards of quality and service.

Today Mobile Auto Outfitters is the only fully mobile trailer hitch and auto accessory installation service of its kind in the region, serving customers throughout Upstate South Carolina and Western North Carolina.

Justin is currently finishing his Bachelor’s degree online through the University of Alabama while continuing to grow the company. He also serves on the advisory board for the Clemson chapter of the SBA Small Business Development Center and is a Community Captain with the Spartanburg Chamber of Commerce’s Power Up initiative.

Justin has also become recognized as an industry leader in mobile hitch installation and serves as an advisor to another mobile hitch installation company in North Carolina, helping other entrepreneurs build customer-focused service models based on quality workmanship and integrity.

As the company has grown, Justin’s role has evolved from performing every installation himself to building and supporting a skilled team capable of delivering the same level of quality and service customers expect. His commitment extends not only to the families he serves, but also to the employees who make Mobile Auto Outfitters possible. By investing in his team and the systems behind the business, Justin continues to build a company rooted in trust, integrity, and long-term relationships.
